Professional Practice Open Accounting

An open source project by:

Hosted by Source Forge

Open Accounting is a time and expense billing system suitable for most professional practices (and some non-profits) that do not maintain an inventory. The software can handle accounts for multiple customers doing business with multiple organizations.

The software is provided free of charge for commercial use under the GNU General Public License. However since the software is written in Microsoft Access, the run time engine is not open source.

Professional Services

Left Brained Geeks provides professional services to all users of this software. Some organizations have found that customizing this software to fit their own business processes exactly is more cost effective then "bending over backwards" to use packaged software such as Quickbooks® or Great Plains®.
